BN Translations provides patent and general translation and localization services for a wide range of individuals and organisations such as patent owners, patent offices, law firms and businesses of all sizes.
Our Mission
Translation is a highly specialized field requiring our professionals to possess high levels of linguistic expertise, up-to-date technical and legal knowledge, as well as a robust knowledge of the target market. Often such knowledge is only available from mother tongue translators as this was the language they spoke whilst growing up.

Our 6-D Process

Your Enquiry
When you require a quotation, we will respond within a few minutes. Your file(s) will be analysed, and we will propose the most appropriate and cost-effective workflow. All formatting and layout is retained in the translated version just as in the source version. We will agree a deadline with you at this stage and stick to it. Confidentiality is important to many clients at this early stage, so it should be reassuring to know that we adhere strictly to the confidentiality terms of the Association of Translation Companies.

Project Preparation
Once you ask us to go ahead with a project, our project managers – themselves post-graduate linguists – will ensure that the right linguists are assigned to the tasks. Our specialist project management system is used to ensure that deadlines are met and the project runs on budget. Translators undergo a stringent selection process, and we have relationships with top linguists going back many years.

Translation
A good, professional translation reads as though it was created in the target language. All translations are carried out by native-speaker specialist qualified linguists. We ensure that the translators have sufficient knowledge of your sector and/or technology and are sensitive to the nuances of terminology. They use client-specific glossaries to ensure consistent use of terminology. We may ask clients for clarification of the source text during the process to ensure that the translator understands the text in the way that it is intended.

Quality Assurance
All translations are checked by a second linguist, and project managers check every translation to ensure that it meets our client’s requirements. Depending on the client requirements, translations are edited and proofread by a second domain-specialist native-speaker translator. It is often the case that the first translator is involved in resolving any final queries. The work is carefully stored in case it is useful for any future requirements you may have.

Translation Delivery
Translations are delivered electronically, by Email or portal as required. We make every effort to deliver the translation file on or before the date agreed upon.

Follow up
After translation delivery, we very much welcome feedback, and will invite any comments when delivering and again when invoicing. In other words, if there are any issues or questions with one of our translations, we will work with you until you are completely satisfied with its quality and accuracy.
